Delicious cookies combining rich chocolate flavor with sweet caramel and a hint of salt.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel candies
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl; gradually add to the creamed mixture until just blended.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and caramel candies.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle a little sea salt on top.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Best served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
