- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
- Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, adding Worcestershire sauce if desired.
- Grease a 9-inch pie dish and spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and flour until smooth. Pour this over the beef and cheese layers.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
- Let the pie cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
This pie can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
