Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice or apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp sliced green onions
Instructions
- Season the cubed chicken breasts with salt and black pepper, then toss them with cornstarch.
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
- Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same pan, add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in the honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and let simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return the cooked chicken to the pan and stir until coated in the sauce. Garnish with sliced green onions.
Notes
Serve over rice or in lettuce wraps for a fun twist. For a crispy coating, consider double-dipping the chicken in cornstarch.
