Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the chicken and chicken broth to a boil, cooking until the chicken is thoroughly cooked. Once ready, remove the chicken and shred it.
  2. In the same pot, add the butter, diced onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté until tender and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the shredded chicken and milk, combining all flavors.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir in milk until you form a smooth dough.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the simmering soup. Cover the pot and let dumplings cook for 15-20 minutes, until fluffy and cooked through.
  6. Season with black pepper, stir, and serve warm.
