- 1 package angel food cake mix
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sliced strawberries (optional)
- 1 cup blueberries (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the angel food cake mix instructions. Prepare the cake as directed and bake until golden. Allow it to cool completely.
- While the cake cools, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed pineapple (juice included) and any selected berries.
- Once the cake has cooled, cut it into layers. In a trifle dish or serving dish, layer the cake, the fruit mixture, and whipped cream alternately.
- Continue layering until all ingredients are used, finishing off with a generous layer of whipped cream.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. Enjoy the light, fluffy goodness!
