Description

  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries (optional)
  • 1 cup blueberries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the angel food cake mix instructions. Prepare the cake as directed and bake until golden. Allow it to cool completely.
  2. While the cake cools, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the crushed pineapple (juice included) and any selected berries.
  4. Once the cake has cooled, cut it into layers. In a trifle dish or serving dish, layer the cake, the fruit mixture, and whipped cream alternately.
  5. Continue layering until all ingredients are used, finishing off with a generous layer of whipped cream.
