Description

A comforting dish combining ground beef, corn, and cornbread for a warm, filling family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 box cornbread mix
  • 1 can of corn (drained)
  • 1 cup cream (or substitute with sour cream or Greek yogurt)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Mix the browned beef with corn and cream in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  4. Prepare the cornbread mix according to the package instructions.
  5. Pour the cornbread batter over the beef mixture, smoothing it out gently.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until the cornbread is golden brown and cooked through.

Notes

For extra flavor, add jalapeños or chili powder to the beef mixture. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
