Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add molasses and egg, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, combining until a dough forms.
  5. Roll tablespoon-sized balls of dough and then roll them in powdered sugar.
  6. Place on prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until they are crinkled and slightly firm to the touch.
