Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts, halved lengthwise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the halved chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken until it’s golden brown and cooked all the way through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  3. While the chicken cooks, melt the butter in the same skillet. Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning, stirring until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in lemon juice, then return the seared chicken to the pan. Coat the chicken generously in the garlic butter sauce.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

For a juicier cut, feel free to substitute boneless thigh meat for the chicken breasts. Dried herbs can be used if fresh ones are unavailable.
