Description
A creamy and flavorful dish combining Dijon mustard and heavy cream, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp honey
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until browned and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and Dijon mustard, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Add in the heavy cream, honey, and lemon juice, mixing well. Allow the sauce to simmer until slightly thickened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the pan, spooning the sauce over each piece. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Feel free to switch Dijon for a milder mustard for picky eaters. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
