Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter to prevent sticking.
- Slice the bread into even pieces and layer them in the prepared dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread layers, allowing it to soak for at least 15 minutes.
- For a richer top, dot the top layer of bread with additional butter pieces.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and set.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
