Description

Delicious chocolate cookies with a creamy ganache filling, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for ganache)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until blended.
  6. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Use your thumb to make an indent in each ball.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, then remove and let cool.
  9. For the ganache, heat the heavy cream until just boiling, then pour it over the chocolate chips in a bowl and let sit for a minute. Stir until smooth.
  10. Spoon the ganache into the indents of the cooled cookies. Allow to set before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for longer storage.
