Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring they mix well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this into the butter-sugar mixture until fully incorporated.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before serving. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
