Description

A comforting Chicken Parmesan Pasta Casserole combining tender chicken, hearty pasta, and rich marinara sauce, topped with gooey mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken breast, chopped
  • 8 oz Pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce
  • 2 cups Fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves Minced garlic
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, chopped chicken breast, marinara sauce, minced garlic, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Notes

For added flavor, use freshly made marinara sauce. Let casserole sit for a few minutes after baking to help it set.
