Description

A delightful marriage of macaroni and cheese and tender sirloin steak bites seasoned with zesty Cajun spices, enveloped in a creamy cheddar cheese sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 8 oz elbow pasta
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

Instructions

  1. Boil a pot of salted water and cook the elbow pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add the sirloin steak, and season with Cajun seasoning. Sear for 3-4 minutes for medium rare, then remove from heat.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter, stir in the milk, and slowly add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  4. Combine the cooked pasta and steak bites with the cheese sauce, mixing until well combined. Serve hot.

Notes

For a vegetarian twist, swap sirloin for chicken or tofu. Customize with different cheeses or add sautéed vegetables for extra flavor.
