Description
A delightful explosion of flavors that transports you to the heart of Louisiana, combining the smokiness of Cajun spices with creamy pasta for a satisfying weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 8 oz pasta (e.g., fettuccine or penne)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Generously season both sides of the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil. Cook the chicken breasts until golden and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and slice it.
- In the same skillet, add the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until it melts and creates a smooth sauce.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, ensuring it is well coated.
- Place the sliced chicken on top of the pasta and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a different twist, substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu. Marinating the chicken in Cajun seasoning before cooking enhances the flavor.
