Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Blueberry Vanilla French Toast Bake combining soft bread, custard, and fresh blueberries, perfect for brunch or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • Bread (preferably brioche or challah)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Fresh blueberries
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Cut your bread into cubes and layer half of them in the dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour half of the custard over the bread cubes. Sprinkle half the blueberries on top.
  6. Layer the remaining bread cubes and pour the rest of the custard over. Top with the remaining blueberries.
  7. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to soak, then bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and set.

Notes

Using stale bread enhances the soak without becoming mushy. Lemon or orange zest can be added for extra flavor.
