- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, sauté the chopped onions and sliced mushrooms until they are tender.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Form the meat mixture into patties.
- In the same skillet, brown the patties on both sides, then remove them and set aside.
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- Return the browned patties to the skillet, cover, and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from the oven, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and return it to bake until the cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Feel free to use lean ground turkey as a lighter option. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
